     LA NACIÓN: “The Gala Soirée will be presented in the Colón.”
 
     Tonight, at 9 o'clock, in the Teatro Colón, the traditional gala soirée in celebration of the 133 anniversary of the oath of Independence will be held.  The program will begin with the the National Hymn, sung by the choir of students of the Conservatorio Municipal "Manuel de Falla", and will be followed by:  the Overture and "Casta diva" scene from the first act of Bellini's Norma; a scene from the second act of Gounod's Faust, the "Jewel Song"; and the third act of Turandot, by Puccini.  The featured singers are Maria Callas, Virgilio Tavini, Nicolas Rossi Lemeni, Mario del Monaco, Helena Arizmendi, Renato Cesari, Roberto Maggiolo and Carlos Giusti, with the orchestral direction of Héctor Panizza and Tullio Serafin.
