     NOTICIAS GRÁFICAS: “Presented tonight is the Gala Soirée in the Colón.”
 
     With the attendance of high national and municipal authorities, the gala soirée celebrating the 133 anniversary of the declaration of our independence, will be held tonight, at 9 o'clock, in the Teatro Colón.  The performance begins with the National Hymn, sung by the chorus of students of the Conservatorio Municipal "Manuel de Falla", under the direction of maestro Hector Panizza, and offers a musical program with the following operatic scenes:  the Overture and "Casta diva" aira with chorus, from Bellini's Norma, with Maria Callas, Nicolas Rossi Lemeni, and maestro Tullio Serafin; the "Jewel Song" scene from the second act [of Gounod's Faust], with Helena Arizmendi, directed by Héctor Panizza; and the third act of Puccini's Turandot, directed by Tullio Serafin; with the interpretations of Maria Callas, Virgilio Tavini, Nicolas Rossi Lemeni, Mario del Monaco, Helena Arizmendi, Renato Cesari, Roberto Maggiolo and Carlos Giusti.  Stage directors Carlos Piccinato and Otto Erhardt, chorus master Rafael Terragnolo, and choreography by Leticia de la Vega.
