     LA ÉPOCA: "A brilliant spectacle was offered last night in the Colón".

     [...] The orchestra magnificently conducted by Maestro Tullio Serafin, with the leading soloists brilliant in every respect, raised Norma to a lofty height. Maria Callas, intense and emotional in the leading role, received the most enthusiastic applause we have heard so far. [...] Nicola Rossi-Lemeni securely brought his role to life, and at the same level of effectiveness so did Fedora Barbieri, who is undoubtedly one of the most notable singers on the Colón’s roster.
