NOTICIAS GRÁFICAS: "Bellini’s Norma was sung for the sixth gala subscription performance of the Colón".

[...] Maestro Tullio Serafin offered a well-rounded version of the score in an appropriate style. The role of the protagonist was taken by the Greek soprano Maria Callas, creating a greater impression that she had made in Turandot, since her vocal and acting skills are more suited for this role. She assumed a dramatic demeanor and force in communicating the part, and was especially noteworthy in the finale of the well-known aria "Casta diva", sung with elegance of expression.
Fedora Barbieri’s Adalgisa was one of indisputable authority. [...] The bass Nicola Rossi-Lemeni obtained a new triumph by embodying an Oroveso in bold relief with his beautiful voice and magnificent singing style. [...] The public generously applauded the performance of Bellini’s opera, the director, and principal singers.
