EL PUEBLO: "Last night, a show of great quality in the Teatro Colón".

The version of Norma presented at the Colón last night impressed those in attendance. The opera was happily realized not only by the singers, but also by the efforts of the conductor, Maestro Serafin. The soprano Maria Callas on this occasion took on a role more adequately suited to her vocal and dramatic resources that she justified fully. Fedora Barbieri revealed all the vocal resources and stage presence required by the role with outstanding results. [...] Rossi-Lemeni gave great presence to his part. [...] We have already cited Maestro Serafin as a focal point of the performance, who fully utilized the outstanding resources of the orchestra. The chorus under Terragnolo’s leadership once again displayed their excellent abilities. Chiesa.
